Job Description – Project Engineer

Reporting to the Vice President, the Project Engineer duties will include a wide range of engineering support on both the mechanical and electrical side. The project engineer will work closely with new and existing customers, providing support and project development as assigned. This position requires a really high level of organizational detail and outstanding communication skills.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Specification and support on:
    • Battery & Battery Charger Applications
    • Encoder Applications
    • Any new application as assigned
  • Assist in the development of new customer accounts and service existing accounts as required.
  • Quality Inspection on all incoming motors & various other incoming components.
  • Programming & assembly of value-added items: Controllers, Gauges, Chargers, etc.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Create and present bill of materials for projects as assigned.
  • Represent company at trade shows as required.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering
  • 2+ years experience as a project engineer-preferred
  • Familiarity with various programming languages
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally

Customer Service Specialist

Responsibilities Include:

The customer service specialist will be responsible for working with customers on order entry, tracking shipments, handling questions via phone and email.

They will work in support of the sales team supporting both the inside and outside sales efforts. This position is inside support. This role is located in Morton Grove, IL.

Requirements:

  • Possesses basic account management skills, pleasant demeanor, and open to learning about new products
  • Meets customer’s expectations via correspondence on phone and email
  • Interacts with management and supply chain to prioritize orders and with other areas of discipline to identify and solve problems pertaining to sales, service and delivery
  • Identifies special requirements to include product configuration, set-up and shipment dates for orders. Communicates and reviews with senior representatives to determine course of action.
  • Coordinates with appropriate groups all special requirements to include product configuration, testing and shipment dates for orders
  • Cross-Trained on Basic Website updates, Product Maintenance as directed by management
  • Work with other departments to successfully resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Learns company product and services capabilities and is able to suggest some alternatives to customers
  • Builds and maintains client relationships – Including but not limited to Quoting, Confirmation, Follow-up
  • Maintains CRM updates of activity
  • Follows departmental processes to build strong foundation of support

Qualifications

  • 2-3 Years of experience in customer service
  • Must have Degree or commensurate experience
  • Requires strong communication skills
  • Must be internet and computer savvy, excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrates accountability for issue resolution and customer empathy
  • Knowledge of the MS Office and Windows required with greater technical aptitude preferred
  • Excellent follow through and follow up skills (self motivated and driven)

Inside OEM Sales Assistant

Responsibilities Include:

Contacting sales leads generated through our company’s web-site and other marketing/supplier generated leads related to developing small to mid-size OEM accounts. They will work in support of the sales team supporting both the inside and outside sales efforts. This position is inside support. This role is located in Morton Grove, IL.

  • Inside sales – based in Morton Grove
  • Prospect new business opportunities via internet, phone, referrals and networking
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals on company leads and referral business
  • Assist in Lead follow up from Trade shows
  • Report on Calls
  • Cross-Trained on Basic Website updates, Product Maintenance as directed by management
  • Builds and maintains client relationships – Including but not limited to Quoting, Confirmation, Follow-up
  • Cold calling prospects and building a referral network
  • Reported via Prophet
  • Increasing sales volume with existing OEM customers account
  • Properly qualifying customers and prospects requirements
  • Report on Quotes
  • Collaborate with your team on pricing decisions, supplier selection and timing
